This English version is provided for convenience; the German version is legally binding. We inform you below which data is processed when you visit this website and use our forms, for what purpose and on what legal basis (GDPR, BDSG, TDDDG).
1. Controller
HJR Transportdienst, owner: Hans-Jörg Rühmann Rudolf-Diesel-Ring 2, 31535 Neustadt am Rübenberge, Germany Phone: +49 178 819 46 80 Email: [email protected]
2. In brief
Without your consent, this website uses no cookies and no analytics tools. Only if you agree in the consent banner do we use Google Analytics to understand how our pages are used; you can withdraw this consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Fonts are loaded from our own server. Beyond that, we only process personal data that you send us via a form, by email or by phone, and where technically necessary when pages are accessed.
3. Hosting, Cloudflare and server log files
This website runs on a virtual private server (VPS) of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, in a data centre in Germany. The server is not directly reachable from the internet: all requests pass encrypted through the network of Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), which delivers the website and protects it against attacks and overload.
When pages are accessed, technically necessary connection data is processed, in particular IP address, date and time, requested page, amount of data and browser and operating system information, to provide the website securely, quickly and reliably. Cloudflare does not set cookies.
If you call our address without “www” (hjr-transportdienst.de), the web server of STRATO GmbH (Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany) answers the request and redirects you to www.hjr-transportdienst.de; the same connection data is briefly processed.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient operation). Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with IONOS, Cloudflare and STRATO. Log data is deleted automatically after a short time.
4. Fonts
The Archivo font is embedded locally and served from our own server. No connection to Google or other third-party servers is made.
5. Consent banner
On your first visit we ask whether you agree to web analytics with Google Analytics. “Decline” and “Accept” are equivalent; as long as you do not agree, Google Analytics is not loaded and no connection to Google is made.
We store your choice and its time in your browser’s local storage (entry “hjr-einwilligung”) so that the banner does not appear on every page. This entry is strictly necessary to respect the choice you made (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG); the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 (1) GDPR (proof of consent). You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
6. Web analytics with Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics shows us in aggregated form how visitors use our website, for example which pages are viewed, for how long, how visitors find us and whether requests are sent. This helps us improve our offer.
For this purpose cookies (“_ga” and “_ga_<ID>”, stored for up to two years) are set and the following data is processed: pages viewed, time on page, referring page, interactions such as scrolling, clicks on external links and form use, device type, browser, operating system, screen resolution, language and approximate location (country, region, city). Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; for visits from the EU, the approximate location is derived from the IP address on servers in the EU, after which the IP address is discarded. Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled; analytics data is deleted after 14 months.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings”; the analytics cookies are then deleted. A data processing agreement is in place with Google. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Request and partner forms
This website offers two forms: the transport request and the application as a subcontractor and transport partner. We process the information you enter, for example company, contact person, phone number, email address, pickup and destination, dates, vehicle type, details of the shipment and route, budget, vehicle classes of your fleet and your message. With the transport request you can also upload documents such as a route plan or a tender. Please do not send information that is not needed for your request.
When you submit a form, your details and uploaded documents are transmitted encrypted (HTTPS) to our server, checked there and delivered encrypted by email via the mail servers of Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to our mailbox at STRATO GmbH (Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany); documents are attached to this email. If you enter an email address in a transport request, you receive a confirmation the same way. Form data and documents are not stored permanently on the web server. We use your details only to handle your request, prepare a quote, contact you and prepare a possible cooperation.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request concerns a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering requests).
To protect against automated abuse, the forms contain a field invisible to people, server-side checks and a limit on requests per IP address. No cookies are set and no external services are used for this.
8. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your request) to handle your enquiry. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.
9. Google reviews and external links
Reviews from our Google Business Profile are retrieved when the website is built and stored as text on our server. No connection to Google is made to display the reviews.
This website contains links to Google, LinkedIn and Instagram. Only when you click such a link do you leave our website; from then on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
10. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Apart from us, the only recipients of your data are our technical service providers, bound to our instructions as processors under Art. 28 GDPR: IONOS (server), Cloudflare (delivery and protection of the website), Google (sending form emails and, only with your consent, Google Analytics) and STRATO (our mailbox and the redirect of the address without “www”).
Cloudflare and Google are based in the USA or belong to companies based in the USA. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Art. 45 GDPR) where the provider is certified, otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
11. Storage period
We keep request data and emails as long as needed to handle your request and a possible cooperation. They are then deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. under commercial and tax law, usually 6 or 10 years). For analytics data, see section 6.
12. Obligation to provide data, automated decisions
You are neither legally nor contractually obliged to provide your data. Without contact details, however, we cannot answer your request. No automated decision-making including profiling takes place.
13. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR) and to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). An informal message to [email protected] is sufficient.
14. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Data Protection Commissioner of Lower Saxony (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany, www.lfd.niedersachsen.de.
15. Data security
Your data is transmitted encrypted via TLS (HTTPS), as are the emails sent from the forms. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
16. Changes
We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. Last updated: October 2026.
