Capacity for larger consignments
The 12-tonner is right when volume or weight exceed what a 7.5-tonner can sensibly carry. Here too, the figure usually refers to the permitted gross weight; payload depends on vehicle and body and is agreed before the run.
Sunday and holiday driving ban
In Germany, trucks over 7.5 t are generally not allowed to drive on Sundays and public holidays; there are exceptions. Plan weekend and pre-holiday dates with us early. For time-critical Sunday consignments, a 7.5-tonner or van can be the answer.
Planned economically
A 12-tonner is not automatically the cheapest option. For small volumes a smaller vehicle can cost less; for large quantities it saves several van runs. We factor in HGV toll, loading conditions and statutory driving and rest times so the time windows we give are realistic.
