It all began behind the wheel.
When Hans-Jörg Rühmann founded HJR, he was on the road every day. He drove the routes himself in his own van and knew everyday transport not from the office but from the road.
From driver to organiser.
As demand grew, the first subcontractors joined. The focus shifted to organisation: coordinating routes, dispatching drivers, looking after customers, finding short-notice solutions. Step by step, single runs became a transport network.

Two decades after it was founded, HJR is a family business working with customers and transport partners beyond regional borders. With Kimberley Rühmann a new chapter begins: new ideas and modern ways of working – without losing the personal character it all started with.
